Great indoor hot spring, nice mountain views. Private hot spring is great too, very relaxing. Location far from the station but it's surrounded by nature which is good. Staff is friendly and accommodating.
Food was not that good, felt a bit overpriced for what we received. Lunch and Dinner were not up to standards and it's better to eat elsewhere.

The location was very convenient, close to the JR station and attractions. the room was cozy with traditional decor, comfortable futons, and great amenities. the bathroom was spotless and had a nice Japanese bath. the service was outstanding, staff were friendly and helpful, fluent in English. Breakfast was delicious, with a variety of traditional Japanese dishes. I really enjoyed the gender-separated outdoor onsen with a breathtaking view of the town.
There was a lack of English signage, which made it a bit difficult to navigate the property.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, arranging transportation from the train station and even accommodating an early check-in. The hotel was very clean, with excellent facilities including a fantastic onsen. The location was perfect, being both close to the JR station and within walking distance of the main street area and Gero temple. Breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of options.
Can't fault the property in any way.

Great food and comfy rooms, plus the beautiful river right outside. We enjoyed the small outdoor bath, which was actually quite lovely. Also, the night view near the nearby temple was stunning, definitely a highlight.
The hotel is located in a small village that felt far away from everything. Plus, the street was small and dangerous with cars passing by too fast. We were disappointed we couldn't make it to the night market in the village center. The staff's English was not strong enough, which made communication challenging at times.
